This first show is an audience recording made by Evil Eye with a high quality cassette recorder in stereo. This was a "Celebrate The Death of Christ" show on Easter Sunday in 1993 at a club called Bosco's with 2 fellow local bands Lethargy & Astaroth (my previous band). The flyer above was made by Lethargy. I can't find the flyer that I made that had "Come Celebrate the Death of Christ on Easter Sunday with Buried Beneath" on it. We had an intro tape that was played before our set began. I've included it separately as track 1. Then track 2 begins the audio recording and you can hear the intro from the audience perspective. This show is 2 months after our 2nd demo "Vivisect The Virgin Mary" came out. The song "Moribund" was debuted at this show.
At this point in time our original 2nd guitarist Steve Nedwetzky had quit the band to join Lethargy and we had a new rhythm guitarist Brian Steltz in the band. I had forgotten about him. He played with us for a few months and was a good guitarist. I can't remember why he left. The line-up for this show is:
Jason Vandemark - Vocals
Mikael - Guitar
Brian Steltz - Guitar
Tim Miller - Bass
Shane Kendall - Drums
Buried Beneath - Live - April 11th, 1993 - Easter Sunday @ Bosco's in Rochester, NY

This next show is a Soundboard Tape. So the sound is better, but the guitars are still low in the mix. Damn sound guys at local clubs! This was 3 localbands with us headlining. I made the above flyer. We played with Windbreed & Contortion. At this point in time Jason had quit the band and our new vocalist was Eric. He sings on the 1994 demo#3 "And This Too Shall Pass Away". We also had another 2nd guitarist - this time a guy named Randy Muck who played with us for a few months too. I also began playing the keyboards during parts of songs, so onstage I went back and forth from playing guitar to playing keyboard parts and even doing an improvized keyboard piece in the middle of the show as an Interlude. During the song interludes you'll hear Eric refer to our upcoming CD - this was because at this time we were scheduled to have a CD coming out on a French label called Napalm Beach / Chaos Records. Later that month the deal fell through and we got our masters back. That recording became our 3rd demo released in November 1994. Shane also kept interrupting Eric when he would try to say something onstage - he was yelling into one of the drum mics. None of us was expecting that. So I credited him with backing vocals / interruptions.
The line-up for this show was:
Eric Saner - lead vocals
Mikael - lead guitar, keyboards, reversed lord's prayer recital, trippy guitar FX on 5
Randy Muck - guitar
Tim Miller - bass
Shane Kendall - drums, backing vocals / interruptionsBuried Beneath - Live October 2nd, 1994 @ the Penny Arcade in Rochester, NY
